For almost a week, I have been seeing a pop-up on my screen of WinAntivirus and Sysprotect. What is so interesting is that my Task Manager says that explorer.exe is using almost 99% of the cpu. This causes my computer to slow down and hang.
Eventhough I know that my system is very much protected with Firewall and AntiVirus, still there are other variants to infect me such as adware or spyware. Knowing that
WinAntivirus and Sysprotect pop-ups are caused by another type of trojan or worn undetected by my security software, I have to use other software – AntiSpyware comes first on my mind.
I first visited Spyware Doctor and run a free scan. Bingo, it detected a file in C:\WINDOWS\System32\sstqo.dll infected with Trojan.Vundo (Symantec) or Trojan.Downloader.Win32.Agent.BR (Kaspersky).
Having an idea of the file and registry infected. I removed it manually. For almost a day now. Seems I have get rid off those nasty pop-ups.
