Not all AntiVirus can detect same types of worm, it depends on their pattern file. Try to scan with Online Virus Scanner.

I used SmitFraud remove tool-it worked great! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I only spent 4 hours tonight, usually with something like this it take forever to find a fix. And usually have to go find what the hkey* are and find it in the registry. Anyway, thanks again!

I did have to go to a different computer and downloaded it to a cd. Since my personal laptop was not working to great!

I have run the SmitfraudFix program and deleted the Networm-i.virus@fp virus.

However since the virus my internet connection has been rediculously slow.

Is there something I can do to get the connection back up to speed?

It looks like its gone but I reboot and its back again.
I’m a computer tech so I’m at wits end posting this.. If anyone has any ideas about this nasty one. corduroy@springsips.com

I tried smitfraud fix but it automatically
restarts during the disk clean up process. It reboots in the normal mode again. Didnt have the chance to complete the process. Does anyone have an idea why this is the case? So far no pop ups yet. Is my computer squeaky clean now?

I have downloaded the Smitfraudfix and will start it right after responding here.
I didnt get the Malware from my System. At least i prevented it from starting up. When you search the code of the programm (it saves itself to C:\Windows\Applications\wsc.exe) you find a clue to an registry key. (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\
    CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer\run)
The Key cannot be easily changed and the file cannot be easily erased. The malware restores the keys and the file is protected. I’ve tried to overrun the User (called himself “Super Users”) but it didnt work out.
But the hint, that the malware is starting from this entry in the registry made me try to rename every data in this folder. (the folder is created by the malware) It worked except for one file. A DLL could not be renamed. The, just to be sure, I opened the wsc.exe in a simple editor, deleted a large chunk of data and saved it in the folder under the original name. After a restart of my PC: no popups whatsoever. So, if you wanna get rid of this popups at first, you do:
    - find wsc.exe
    - rename all in the folder you found
    - create a fake-wsc.exe
    - restart PC
And now lets have a look, what the tool can do. Bye.

I have this virus and CAN’T download any of these tools because my internet explorer locks up everytime I open it. I can’t resize, close, go to any website at all. In the internet tools the home page keeps changing to “about:blank” no matter how many times I reset to default page. I have changed all explorer settings back to default but nothing works. What can I do to get rid of this thing?
