This solution has NOT worked for me or some friends. HJT DOES NOT find anything related to Adzgalore. Nothing to fix.
WE HOPE someone CAN find a solution to this perpetual problem!
As far as I can tell. Adzgalore only affects Firefox. The funny thing is, adzgalore is easy to remove. Think about this, why won’t HiJack This, or any other antivirus/spyware/adware program find adzgalore. Whatever it is, it is acting like a plug in or patch to firefox. Simple solution, remove firefox in it’s entirety and use IE to get the latest version of firefox; Simple eh. After that, just try not to acquire adzgalore though “questionable” site visitations.
adzgalore actually attacked my IE and not my firefox, and I can’t find any way to remove my IE.
superantispyware [ which is free] removed adzgalore for me with no problem run it and it will list as trojan\dropper\gen.
scan will take about 15 mins using vista..
not sure if this works with any other os.
also this adware was contracted by me after downloading a big fish game in one of thier demos. helecopter to be exact.
Any response?
