There is a new trojan called OSX.Saprilt.C announced my Symantec that was tailored for Macintosh users with OSX operating system. This trojan may open a backdoor on infected computer to allow remote access and prompts a fake Password dialogoue box on screen to gather user’s password. The dialogue box contains:

A corrupt preference file has been detected and must be repaired. Enter the password for the user accont [username] to continue:

If successful, this trojan is will then inform the attacker of the computer’s IP address and the user’s password.
