Worm.MyMP3

This procedure will remove MyMP3.vbs and Autorun.Inf on your computer.

End Windows Process:
1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del
2. Windows Task Manager will appear
3. On Process tab, click “wscript.exe” and click “End Process”. If more that one “wscript.exe” process is running, please end all.

Remove Registry Entry:
1. Go to Start>Run and type “regedit
2. Go to the Key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
3. Delete the Value with Data: C:\WINDOWS\MyMP3.vbs

Delete Related Files:
1. Download the compressed file mymp3-remover and save to your desktop
2. Uncompress the file and it contains a batch file called mymp3remover.bat
3. Double-click the file to delete all malicious files on computer.
4. Restart your computer.

i deleted mymp3.vbs using kaspersky, and now, i cant open drives c,d, removable drive!!! even before i used kaspersky, this keeps happening

I found this worm in my USB device and I tried to delete using my macbook. now it is locked in my trash…How do I remove it? I tried the mymp3-remover but I can’t open it. Please help me. thanks.

Thanks! the batch file removed the vbs file. I did notice that on my WD Passport, it won’t allow me to open the drive by double clicking it. I have to right click it and choose open. Is the a fix for that one? Thanks again!

i cannot find C:\WINDOWS\MyMP3.vbs in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run but when i scan my computer the file is still a threat..what will i do? i need to fix my computer because i need to program for my major subject..thanks..hope you can help me..

I still having a problem with our computers. The computers are connected in the network then we have a common drive, everytime that we access this drive this error message appear ” WIndows Script Host” Can not find script file “X:\MYMP#.vbs”,
The drive X is our commond drive in the network.
Pls. help.

by the way how can i remove a virus where in every folder there are unwanted files named back up, unknown artist, list. . .etc all of them are .exe files and if you 2click them there will be a prompt unable to open. . . can you guys help me with this?
