Spyware.IEMonster.b is a threat being detected by a rogue security application. On the latest report it is being issued by System Security. Spyware.IEMonster.b may not really present on computer, it is rather a trick by rogue security program developers to mislead computer user to download and buy the licensed version of the program. The alert messages reads:

“Your system is probably infected with version of Spyware.IEMonster.b. Spyware.IEMonster.b is spyware that attempts to steal passwords from Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox Outlook and other programs, including login and passwords from online baking sessions,EBay, PayPal…”

Spyware.IEMonster is a threat displayed on a warning alert being presented by Security Tool rogue program to deceive computer users on the security status of the computer. The message reads:

“Spyware.IEMonster activity detected. This is spyware that attempts to  steal passwords from Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Outlook and other programs. Click here to remove it immediately with Security Tool. ”

Common Symptoms:
1. Displays a threat named Spyware.IEMonster.b together with other malware.

Remove Spyware.IEMonster.b

1. Download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware (mbam-setup.exe) and save it on your Desktop.
2. After downloading, double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
3. Follow the prompts and install as “default” only
4. Before the installation completes, check on the following prompts:
- Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
- Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
5. Click “Finish.” Program will run automatically and you will be prompt to update the program before doing a scan. Please update.
6. Scan your computer thoroughly.
7. When scanning is finished click on the “Show Results”
8. Make sure that all detected threats are marked, click on Remove Selected.
9. Restart your computer.

Note: Spyware.IEMonster.b may prevent mbam-setup.exe from downloading and running. You can download and rename this program from a different computer before running it on infected system.
