virusresponse2009.com is a fake computer security website that endorses counterfeit program such as Virus Response Lab 2009. It also changes default values of internet browser so that it can point user to virusresponse2009.com.

1. Internet browser redirection and presence of the VirusResponse2009 scanner.

1. Download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware (mbam-setup.exe) and save it on your Desktop.
2. After downloading, double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
3. Follow the prompts and install as “default” only
4. Before the installation completes, check on the following prompts:
- Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
- Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
5. Click “Finish.” Program will run automatically and you will be prompt to update the program before doing a scan. Please update.
6. Scan your computer thoroughly.
7. When scanning is finished click on the “Show Results”
8. Make sure that all detected threats are marked, click on Remove Selected.
9. Restart your computer.
Note: virusresponse2009.com may prevent mbam-setup.exe from downloading and running. You can download and rename this program from a different computer before running it on infected system.
Tested and really working fine.

but the anti-malware worked well. ad-aware is no good on this one; i had tried that first. anti-malware takes a while to scan, but it got rid of the virus. thanks.

Thanks so much for your product. I tried many things to get rid of this pest. Norton 360 was no help whatsoever, and they wanted another 100 bucks just to dial in to my computer and clean it up.
everything works fine until the end of the scan, when I get the windows notice that an error has occurred and I must restart my system. I then lose the scan results. any suggestions?
Can’t install Malware. When I click on mbam-setup.exe to install it, nothing happens.
