for those affected by websites being blocked, goto your hosts file and delete it.

this should get your internet back to working

windows checks your host file for routing information, and redirects you accordingly, it seems comepletatla modifies this to route popular sites, google, bebo, etc to their domain where they try to get you to buy tools to clean their crud.

I had same problem. This is what I did this morning to make it work. If yours is windows, check hosts file . I think it is under Windows/system32/drivers/etc. If that file has mapping for sites http://www.google.com etc.., Remove all those mappings.
I think empty hosts file is OK. If not just add the following.
    127.0.0.01 localhost

It works just fine to erase all the data in the hosts file.
Open it with wordpad and erase all the text. Then save it and reopen your browser. Now it works fine…

That should remove “Completala” from the system.

After that if you have problems browsing internet, then you need to empty “hosts” file. For this
    a) Close the broswer
    b) Open C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file with notepad.
    c) remove all the text
    d) Save the file

Now open the browser and browse internet. It should work fine
