Fortinet, a trusted network security provider reported that the month of August 2009 displays an increase in malware activity.
Malware are being spreads in different format, from E-Cards, Trojan, Parasites, Scam websites and even Spam e-mails. According to the report, incidents of more and more infection was also causes by an unpatched software vulnerabilities in which cyber offender are trying to exploit to infect a computer.
“It is becoming a time when the criminals use some of the old tactics with upgraded tools that are more sophisticated and not easily detected by some security applications. New vulnerabilities such as those found in Microsoft Office Web Components, Adobe Flash and Adobe Reader are just a few to name that had new exploits in the past two months. This is an easy way for an attacker to penetrate ones system to either steal personal information or compromise use of the computer” says Fortinet.

I recently got the cryptor virus and shuer2 trojan. I’ve tried system restore but i get message that it has been disabled through group user policy. Does anybody have an suggestions as to how to get around this and where to look in my registry to remove these problems. My antivirus isn’t removing them. Thanks
