RegTool

RegTool is a counterfeit Windows program that poses as a tool to scan, repair and speed-up your computer. RegTool has no proven track records to all its claim. Security expert already considered it as a rogue program because it was created only to generate revenue for its authors.

ErrorFix

ErrorFix is another fake Windows utility program that promote itself as “Advance Registry Repair” application. ErrorFix Will automatically perform scan and clean procedure that can mislead computer users to purchase the program when it display the exaggerated results.

MalwareCleaner is another potentially unwanted program that disguises as a legitimate Windows anti-malware  software needed to remove a threat. MalwareCleaner can mislead computer users with its fake system virus scanning posing exaggerated threat reports. It can also modify internet browser settings and get it redirected to a unwanted websites or servers where users can get infected with this rogue program. 

Malware Bell

Malware Bell is another rogue anti-malware application from the same authors that creates FilesSecure and IEDefender. Malware Bell can be acquired by downloading third party programs from illegitimate websites that has an embedded trojans on it.

PC Codec Pack

PCCodecPack is a new fake multimedia coder/decoder or commonly known as codec that also came from the makers of Luxe Codec XP. System Protect 2009 is another variant from the family of rogue computer programs that pose as a legitimate software for Windows. System Protect 2009 is being promoted on its own website to protect computers and remove threats when visitors purchased the registered version of the program.

Extra Antivirus is another rogue security program that was also from the makers of the Virus Sweeper. Extra Antivirus will display a Windows-like security center interface with warning alerts about potential security risks found on computer.

AV Antispyware is an addition to the long lists of rogue application that was also from the developer of MS AntiSpyware. Common potentially unwanted program such as AV Antispyware are promoted on scam websites as a legitimate security program and will have a pattern that prompt visitors in downloading these programs.
