Virus Threats and Removal Tools

1. Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).

Navigate to and subkeys and delete value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Value: "anti_troj" = "%System%\anti_troj.exe"
 

Navigate to and subkeys and delete value:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FirstRRRun
Value: "FirstRRRun" = "1"

5. Exit registry and Restart the computer.
