MANUAL REMOVAL:

1. Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP). [how to]

3. Run a full system scan.

Navigate to the subkeys and delete value:

Navigate to the subkeys and delete value:

Value: "NoFind" = "1"

Navigate to the subkeys and delete value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\explorer
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\explorer
Value: "NoRun" = "1"

Navigate to the subkey and delete value:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\txtfile\shell\open\command
Value: "(Default)" = "%SYSTEM%\NOTE.EXE %1"

Navigate to the subkey and delete value:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\DefaultIcon
Value: "(Default)" = "%Windir%\lodctr32.exe"

Navigate to the subkey and reset value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Value: "Shell" = "explorer.exe lodctr32.exe"
to:
"Shell" = "explorer.exe"

5. Exit registry editor and restart the computer.
