‘Security Violation Error’ is another fake alert message generated by a rogue security program called Personal Antivirus. Fake alert messages have been a constant factor to inform victims about threats that may cause potential damages to the system. More of these will appear as long as rogue security software is presently residing on the computer. The goal is simply to instruct user that buying the registered version of an endorsed product will bring end to the problem. However, that is just a short-term solution. Fake alerts may stop emerging but Trojan and malware who brought all these mess still remains.

Malware Behavior
‘Security Violation Error’ fake warning may appear on PC occasionally coming from system tray. It masquerades as legitimate Windows alert to mislead user regarding the actual security status of the computer. The fake alert will contain this message:

Internet Explorers add-on Shockwave Flash vs.3 found to be linking to the FormSpy website hosted at IP address 81.95.109.11 and installing FormSpy using an old VBS/Psyme exploit targeting Internet Explorer. These websites are believed to have been penetrated and modified by hackers, VBS.Psyme can be detected proactively in Internet Explorer (IE). This is a detection for a malware that was discovered in the wild on July 24, 2009 (PST). Its installer was proactively detected as New Malware.ag (now Downloader-AXM). This add-on tries to send your private information to attackers IP 72.95.109.11 (Malaysia)

1. Temporarily Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP). [how to]
2. Open your antivirus application and update the virus definition file. This method ensures that your antivirus program can detect even newer variants of 'Security Violation Error'

3. Start Windows in Safe Mode with Networking.
- From a power-off state, turn on the computer and press F8 on your keyboard repeatedly.
- Your computer will display Windows Advanced Boot Options menu. Please select Safe Mode with Networking.
- The system will now boot Windows and loads only necessary drivers and files.

4. Open your antivirus program and run a full system scan. After the scan, delete all infected items. If unable, better place them in quarantine. Once the scan is complete, please proceed with the next step.

Another way to remove 'Security Violation Error' without the need to install additional antivirus application is to perform a thorough scan with free online virus scanner that can be found here or on websites of legitimate anti-virus and security provider.

5. Go to Online Virus Scanner list and run a virus scan. This may require plug-ins, add-on or Activex object, please install if you want to proceed with scan.
6. After completing the necessary download, your system is now ready for online virus scanning.
7. Select an option in which you can thoroughly scan the computer to make sure that it will find and delete entirely all infections not detected on previous scan.
8. Remove or delete all detected items.
9. When scanning is finished you may now restart the computer in normal mode.
