Your Computer might be at Risk!

“Your Computer might be at Risk!” is a pop up alert known to be associated to rogue program. This fake warning aims to scare computer user about presence of virus infection and other security risks. It will declare a detection of virus even though computer is free from it. As usual, it restrain an advise that full version of the endorse product is required to eliminate the threat. It is usual for rogue security program to produce scare tactics in order to force victims into purchasing the bogus software. The fake warning will contain this message:

Your Computer might be at Risk!
Viruses have been detected!
Possible:
-Unauthorized access to your files, documents.
-Stealing from your banking accounts.
-Reading your private correspondence.
-Spam-mailing from your PC
Highly recommended to destroy them immediately.

Your computer might be at risk
Antivirus detects viruses, worms and Trojan horses. They can (and do) destroy data, format your hard disk or can destroy BIOS. By destroying the BIOS many times you end up buying a new motherboard or fi the bios chip is removable then that chip would.

As already mentioned, these are fake. If any of these warnings are spotted on your PC, please disregard the message. Its objective is to fool computer user like you. Then, it will steal money from your credit card account when a transaction is made on their web site. The best thing to do is to scan the computer with legitimate security software. Quite a number of security products on the Internet can be utilized to remove the threat without spending a single penny.

How to Remove Your Computer might be at Risk!

Boot Windows in Safe Mode With Networking

1. First thing to do is to reboot the computer in Safe Mode with Networking to avoid "Your Computer might be at Risk!" from loading at start-up. You may want to print this procedure as we have to restart the computer to complete the removal process.
- Restart the computer.
- Before Windows begins to load, press F8 on your keyboard.
- It will display an Advanced Boot Options menu. Select Safe Mode with Networking.
- Windows will now start in Safe Mode.

2. Download this anti-malware program and save it on your Desktop or any location on your PC.
3. When finish downloading, double-click on the file to install the application.
4. Follow the prompts and install with default configuration.
5. Before the installation completes, check prompts that software will run and update on itself.

6. Click Finish. Program will run automatically and you will be prompt to update the program before doing a scan. Please update.
7. When finished updating, the tool will run. Select Perform full scan on main screen to check your computer thoroughly.
8. When scanning is finished click on Show Results.
9. Make sure that all detected threats are checked, click on Remove Selected. This will delete all files and registry entries that belongs to "Your Computer might be at Risk!".
10. Restart your computer.

Note: If "Your Computer might be at Risk!" prevents mbam-setup.exe from downloading. Download the software from another computer. Renaming it to something like 'anything.exe' can help elude the malware.

Notes

First thing you should try when infected by a virus is to apply System Restore (see how). It may rebuild any damaged or modified settings due to Internet Security 2010 infection.

Helpful Tip
