   i got infected with that thing to the only way how it comes off is if the type the address twice but it comes back so i think its a hack sent to all computers or something

   Click on tools, then options, then under the “main” category, click the button for manage add ons.

   There you want to click on the selection at the top for “plug ins.” When you get to the “my websearch plugin stub” you want to disable it.

   That should make mindspark go away.

   I also want to rid ‘Mindsparksearch.com’. I just read a comment from someone else having the same problem.
   Anyone with an answer??

   1. Download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware (mbam-setup.exe) and save it on your Desktop.
   2. After downloading, double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
   3. Follow the prompts and install as “default” only
   4. Before the installation completes, check on the following prompts:
   - Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
   - Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
   5. Click “Finish.” Program will run automatically and you will be prompt to update the program before doing a scan. Please update.
   6. Scan your computer thoroughly.
   7. When scanning is finished click on the “Show Results”
   8. Make sure that all detected threats are marked, click on Remove Selected.
   9. Restart your computer.

   Note: MALWARE may prevent mbam-setup.exe from downloading and running. You can download and rename this program from a different computer before running it on infected system.

   I tried that, the webmaster instructions, yeah, i didn’t work mindspark is still the search engine, i want to get rid of it, someone, please find some answers

   I downloaded the Malware Remover which when complete, deleted the program. But my IE still would automatically go to Mindspark when I opened IE. I finally figured out how to remove it, I went to IE Tools, than Internet Options, than on the top in the Homepage area, the address for Mindspark will be there, just type a different web address to use as your Home Page and press Apply and than close IE and reopen. Mindspark will than be gone. Just to be sure I rebooted my computer and opened IE again, It was gone.

    I want to disable Mindspark now. I cannot get into my
    email so no point in giving my email address as I will
    not be able to open it!

    Removed it using the tools….manage add ons - enable disable add ons. It came up as My Search. I disabled it and closed the browser. Reopened my browser and it was gone.

    All of sudden Mindspark Search showed up on my computer, I didn’t ask for it, I don’t want it. I need to get rid of it immediately.

    I have been trying for day’s to get rid of mindspark and can’t do it. It just appeared one day and is nothing but a pain in the butt. If any one can tell me how to deleat it I would be greatful because the people that put it on there won’t.

    Before or after you run the anti-malware you need to go into internet options and replace the mindspark address with another in the homepage default box because it has made itself your default home page so when you open your browser it’ll go to the page.
