Active Security is another rogue antivirus application that will pretend as security program providing System Scan on the computer. Active Security comes in Unregistered Version and aims to attract users with its scary tactics to encourage them to buy the licensed version of it. Common approach of Active Security virus is to display excessive warning alerts and pop up Task bar messages. This malware will also produce fictitious virus scan results to influence more on users acquisition of the program. 

A Trojan is utilized to established the program Active Security on computer. Once on the system, it will configure to start itself by modifying system files and generating it own registry values.  Another harm it can bring to affected system is to disable installed antivirus programs, redirect Internet browser and connecting to a remote computer to download additional malware. Only trusted anti-malware program can be used as Active Security removal tool. Not only it can remove the rogue program but also Trojan and malicious files associated with it.

Removing Active Security Automatically

1. Download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware (mbam-setup.exe) and save it on your Desktop.
2. After downloading, double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
3. Follow the prompts and install as “default” only
4. Before the installation completes, check on the following prompts:
- Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
- Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
5. Click “Finish.” Program will run automatically and you will be prompt to update the program before doing a scan. Please update.
6. Scan your computer thoroughly.
7. When scanning is finished click on the “Show Results”
8. Make sure that all detected threats are marked, click on Remove Selected.
9. Restart your computer.

Note: Active Security virus may prevent mbam-setup.exe from downloading and running. You can download and rename this program from a different computer before running it on infected system.
