Antispy Protector 2009 is an added malware and a variant of WinSpywareProtect family of rogue programs. An evaluation on Antispy Protector 2009 shows that it is lack of virus scanning components and therefore all of its generated scans are purely for promotional purposes - a “must remove program”. It will alert computer users of found threats which does not actually exists on computer. This rogue program will first sneak into computer as a Trojan that is capable of redirecting Internet browser on scan websites to download and execute a rogue program.
Fake programs like Antispy Protector 2009 is being promoted on its own scam websites and can also be carried-out by Trojan infection. Other ways to acquire this is by visiting malicious websites that can download and install it on computer without consent.
