Antivirus Pro

Antivirus Pro is a rogue Windows security program that will generate a number of pop-up alerts and scary warning messages to get users attention and focus on the security issues of the computer. With similar functionalities to other fake programs, Antivirus Pro was created primarily to deceive computer users and let them purchase the registered version of this software. Though it was promoted as a protection tool, Antivirus Pro was nothing but a useless and harmful one.

Visiting malicious website and downloading programs from file-sharing networks are two of the most common ways to get infected with Antivirus Pro virus. Once inside the computer, Antivirus Pro will try to modify system settings and registry to include itself in the start-up process. It was also noticed that Antivirus Pro will block Internet access and disable antivirus programs on the compromised computer.
