BlockKeeper will disguise as a program to help protect you computer from threats and virus attack, but in reality this fake security program is being distributed on the Internet by utilizing a Trojan that can drop and execute them on computer without users consent. BlockKeeper is a member of a large group of unwanted programs where BlockScanner, BlockWatcher and SoftBarrier also belongs. All mentioned shares the same console of virus scan and a goal of misinforming computer users on the security status of the computer. This way, a registered version of BlockKeeper can be sold easily.
Presence of BlockKeeper on computer merely states that it was already infected with a Trojan. The longer this Trojan stays on computer may further harm the system by downloading additional threats. Remove the Trojan and the unwanted program using the provided BlockKeeper removal tool.

Use MBAM as BlockKeeper Removal Tool:
1. Download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware (mbam-setup.exe) and save it on your Desktop.
2. After downloading, double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
3. Follow the prompts and install as “default” only
4. Before the installation completes, check on the following prompts:
- Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
- Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
5. Click “Finish.” Program will run automatically and you will be prompt to update the program before doing a scan. Please update.
6. Scan your computer thoroughly.
7. When scanning is finished click on the “Show Results”
8. Make sure that all detected threats are marked, click on Remove Selected.
9. Restart your computer.
Note: BlockKeeper may prevent mbam-setup.exe from downloading and running. You can download and rename this program from a different computer before running it on infected system.
