FakeSpyguard is a new rogue program that was promoted and claims to remove spyware and other computer threats. In reality, this program does not have an adequate virus scanning engine to detect and remove viruses. FakeSpyguard can run its own virus scan and detect threats but all of these are a product of its own deception. This application was designed primarily to be sold by using misleading pop-up alerts and virus scan results.

Security experts suggests to remove such rogue program on computer immediately if you spotted them or even a symptoms of it. Usually, they are bundled with a Trojan that can further harm your system if it resides for a longer period of time. Trojan can download additional malware from a remote server and execute on your computer. A removal tool for FakeSpyguard is provided on this page.

Use MBAM as FakeSpyguard Removal Tool

1. Download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware (mbam-setup.exe) and save it on your Desktop.
2. After downloading, double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
3. Follow the prompts and install as “default” only
4. Before the installation completes, check on the following prompts:
- Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
- Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
5. Click “Finish.” Program will run automatically and you will be prompt to update the program before doing a scan. Please update.
6. Scan your computer thoroughly.
7. When scanning is finished click on the “Show Results”
8. Make sure that all detected threats are marked, click on Remove Selected.
9. Restart your computer.

Note: FakeSpyguard may prevent mbam-setup.exe from downloading and running. You can download and rename this program from a different computer before running it on infected system.
