Fast Disk is a bogus type of application that will pretend as a tool for hard drive optimization. Fast Disk virus commonly installed by means of deceptive tactics by providing several error reports on the computer. Thereafter, it will continuously pop-up warning messages combine with a recommended removal procedure. One has to purchase the registered version of the rogue program.

It was already proven that having the registered version will never fix any computer irregularities particularly hard drive errors. This is because Fast Disk was not made for this purpose, instead it was developed only to scam computer users and earn a profit from this fraudulent activities. It is best to remove Fast Disk immediately from a computer using a legitimate anti-malware program.

Fast Disk Removal Procedures

Manual Removal:
1. Stop Fast Disk process by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del. Windows Task Manager will open. Look for the following process:
(random characters).exe

2. Update your installed anti-virus program.
3. Run a full system scan and clean/delete all detected infected file(s). A manual removal of virus-related files should also be performed.
4. Edit Windows registry and delete Fast Disk entries. [how to edit registry]
5. Exit registry editor.
6. Remove Fast Disk start-up entry by going to Start > Run, type msconfig on the “Open” dialog box. System Configuration Utility will open. Go to Startup tab and uncheck the following Startup item(s):
(random characters).exe

7. Click Apply and restart Windows.
