LinkSafeness is a hazardous unwanted program pretending to be an antivirus software and being promoted on various scam website that commonly acts as an online virus scanner called “LinkSafeness – Online Protection.” This website will advise users to download and install the program in the promise that it will removal any threats on computer. Convinced users may download the unregistered version without knowing that it can further harm the computer. This was identical to its previous versions like AntiAid and SiteVillain.
Once inside the system, LinkSafeness virus will make itself to load each time Windows is started. This may cause the compromised computer to receive various fake alert messages and Internet browser redirection. Infected system may also experience a reduction on system performance while LinkSafeness Trojan is running in the background.
