Microsoft Security Adviser is a rogue program being advertised on fake security website as a legitimate security application by using Operating Systems title. Microsoft Security Adviser not only replicates the name but also graphical user interface on its warning messages and virus scanning to trick computer users that the warning comes from the Operating System itself. This program was considered scam and has a sole purpose of generating income by infecting a computer and sell the program. This fake program is not in any way connected nor being distributed by Microsoft.

How to remove Microsoft Security Adviser
1. Download removal tool from this link and save it on your Desktop.
2. After downloading, double-click on to install the application.
3. Follow the prompts and install as “default” only
4. If it prompts to update the database after installation, please proceed.
5. Click “Finish.” Program will run automatically and you will be prompt to update the program before doing a scan. Please update.
6. Scan your computer thoroughly.
7. When scanning is finished, click on the “Show Results”
8. Make sure that all detected threats are marked, click on Remove Selected.
9. Restart the computer.
Note: Some malware may prevent mbam-setup.exe from downloading and running. You can download and rename this program from a different computer before running it on infected system.
