SaveDefender
SaveDefender is a new variant coming from the same rogue family where SafetyKeeper, SoftSafeness and WiniFighter belongs. This new version has a new component that can download a Rootkit to manipulate system files. Trojan associated with SaveDefender can conceal itself from antivirus and other security applications with its rootkit functionalities. It has a tendency to download more malware as long as it resides on the computer. Once on the computer, it will keep displaying alert messages and scan results to show users how the computer is badly infected. This will then mislead them to purchase the registered version of the program.
Malware seems to be more aggressive in exploiting software vulnerabilities to infiltrate computers. With new techniques, users may find it hard to remove SaveDefender. A proven anti-malware program must be used as SaveDefender removal tool.
