TrustCop is another fake security program that launches a campaign to spread a copy of itself in participation of scam websites and Trojan Downloader. With these tools, computer users can be easily contracted by TrustCop with just a simple visit to their malicious websites. At the first visit, it will trick computer users with a fake alert messages that may lead into downloading of the whole component of the program. When downloaded and installed, excessive security alerts and fabricated virus scan will be displayed on computers, aiming to encourage users to register and pay for the licensed version of the program promising that computer will be safe from virus attack.
These scenarios have been used by almost all rogue program developer so computer users must be aware of it at this point in time. Downloading unknown security program is a big mistake, especially if it was being promoted by security alerts that immediately pop-up on screen without being installed. TrustCop, just like its other variant shares the same scheme and Internet users must no be trick in any way. A good anti-malware program must have prevented this fraud if one is only installed on computer.
