Solving Error Code 10 – Device Cannot Start

Windows Error code 10 is presented when any connected external device has no driver installed or not supported by the Operating System. Not all devices and gadgets are correctly enumerated by Windows when it get connected to the computer. Some device drivers are also treated by Windows as a service that need to run prior to connecting a device. When Error (Code 10) occurs, it means that a bus reset is ongoing and Windows tries to initialize and re-enumerate the bus. To solve this issue you may take these steps:

1. Be sure to have an updated driver for your device. This can be downloaded from device manufacturer web site.

2. Download any recent updates on your operating system. Windows regularly released updates and hot fix to solve certain computer issues.

3. Make sure that you are using the right cables or connectors. Not all USB cables are configured for similar devices. Check your manual for proper cable to use.

4. Check that your device is working properly. Sometimes, it can be the device that is causing the issue. Connect it to another computer and see if the problems exists.
