Moreover, SockShare is a pure disturbance to user’s online browsing activities for the reason that it is excessively redirecting web pages to a variety of websites.

SockShare has a number of tricky ways to penetrate a computer and integrate itself on the browser without user’s permission. With this intrusive behavior, PC users mistakenly associate this adware to computer viruses. Initially, SockShare is promoted as program that enhances online web experience of users by giving them free access to various media, hence; recently it was involved in annoying malicious advertising scheme.

Just like typical PUP, SockShare is dropped on the computer while installing freeware and shareware apps. It is the casual web users who do not care for safety that mostly falls victim to this adware. SockShare conceals itself to favorite downloadable programs as a way to attract web users. There are also times that makers of SockShare will utilize pop-ups with malicious script to drop and install the adware onto visitor’s computer without their awareness.

Seeing annoying pop-ups like Ads by SockShare or Brought by SockShare do not indicate that computer is infected with virus. Though, this is a possibility that there is little abnormality on the browser. Consequently, running virus scan is a requisite to get rid of any malicious entities associated with SockShare.
