HOW TO REMOVE SecurityToolbar 7.1:
1. Temporarily disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).

2. Go to Start, then Control Panel.
3. Double-click on Internet Properties to modify internet settings.
4. Click on Programs tab.
5. Below the window click on Manage Ads-ons
6. Disable any entries with Security Toolbar or any suspicious
add-ons. If it has ActiveX control please delete also.
7. Download
SuperAntiSpyware Free Home Edition
8. Install it and update if necessary.
9. Reboot your computer in SafeMode

10. Double-Click
SuperAntiSpyware icon to run it.

On Main Menu, click the Preferences button.

Click the Scanning Control tab.

Under Scanner Options
make sure the following are checked:
- Close browsers before scanning
- Scan for tracking cookies
- Terminate memory threats before quarantining.

Click "Close" to exit
Scanning Control
tab.

On the Main Menu, click Scan
your computer...
-
On left window check C:\Fixed Drive.
-
On right window, select Perform Complete Scan.

Click Next to start the scan.
This may take some time

After scanning all detected
items are marked checked. Click Next to quarantine infected items.

It will prompt you to reboot
computer. Please do so.
Note: If the above procedure
does not work. You may have been infected with another SmitFraud. Kindly
proceed to
SmitFraud Removal. You may want to download the
Printable SmitFraud Removal in .PDF version of the instructions and
print it as you have to close open windows during the process.
